Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2, 2026. This policy describes how Quantum Nonsense LLC ("Quantum Nonsense," "we," "us") handles information collected through this website. It has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel and is not legal advice — Quantum Nonsense LLC should have it reviewed before relying on it, particularly if the business later serves customers outside the United States.
Scope
This site currently ships to United States addresses only and is intended for a US audience. If you access it from elsewhere, your information will still be processed on servers located in the United States, as described below.
Information we collect
Information you give us — your email address if you create an account or sign up for the newsletter, and your name, shipping address, and order contents when you place an order.
Information collected automatically— we record minimal, first-party analytics (page views, product views, cart actions) tied to a random identifier stored in your browser, not to your identity. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell this data to anyone. If you arrive via a marketing link, we may record which one (its UTM parameters) to understand what's working.
Information from payment processors — when you pay, our payment processor (Stripe, and PayPal where offered) collects your full card or wallet details directly. We receive only a payment confirmation and limited details such as card brand and last four digits — we never see or store your full card number.
Cookies and local storage
Your cart and the anonymous analytics identifier above are stored in your browser's local storage, not cookies. If you create an account and sign in, we set a cookie to keep you signed in. Our payment processor may set its own cookies during checkout for fraud prevention — that's governed by their privacy policy, not ours. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use your information
- To process, print, ship, and support your order
- To send order and shipping confirmations
- To operate your account, if you create one
- To send newsletter email — only if you've opted in, and you can opt out any time
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse of the checkout and account system
- To understand, in aggregate, how the storefront is used, so we can improve it
We do not sell your personal information, and we never will.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers needed to run the store, each bound to use it solely for that purpose:
- Stripe and, where enabled, PayPal — to process payments
- Printful, our print-on-demand partner — your name, shipping address, and order contents, solely to print and ship your order
- Supabase — our database and account-hosting provider
- An email delivery provider — to send order, shipping, and (if opted in) newsletter email
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Quantum Nonsense or others. We do not otherwise sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed for accounting, tax, and legal purposes. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it. Analytics events are retained only as long as useful for understanding site usage and are not linked back to an identity.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any newsletter message. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to close your account, by contacting us. If you are a California resident, this includes the right to know what personal information we hold about you and to request its deletion; as stated above, we do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including relying on PCI-compliant processors for all payment data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the business changes. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do; material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
